Description

Create a festive and warm Winter Aperol Spritz brightened with the tart sweetness of pomegranate. This seasonal twist brings a cozy, spirited feeling to a classic cocktail, perfect for your next gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 parts Prosecco
  • 2 parts Aperol
  • 1 part Pomegranate Juice (freshly squeezed preferred)
  • Splash of Soda Water (optional, for extra fizz)
  • Orange slices, for garnish
  • Pomegranate arils, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Chill your wine glasses or large goblets first.
  2. Fill each glass generously with ice cubes.
  3. Pour in the Prosecco first, filling the glass about halfway.
  4. Add the Aperol over the back of a spoon to layer slightly, if desired, or pour directly.
  5. Pour in the pomegranate juice.
  6. Top with a small splash of soda water if you prefer a lighter drink.
  7. Gently stir once or twice with a bar spoon to combine the ingredients.
  8. Garnish each cocktail with a fresh orange slice and a scattering of pomegranate arils.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy the moment.

Notes

  • For a deeper flavor, you can use pomegranate molasses instead of plain juice, adjusting the quantity down slightly.
  • If you want to make this drink less alcoholic, increase the amount of soda water and pomegranate juice.
  • Taste your Prosecco beforehand; if it is very sweet, skip the added soda water.
