Description

A vibrant and refreshing Watermelon Mint Agua Fresca, perfect for a warm day. This simple Mexican-inspired drink balances sweet watermelon with cooling mint and a hint of tart lime.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups cubed seedless watermelon
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Combine watermelon, mint leaves, lime juice, water, and sugar (if using) in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing gently on the solids to extract all the liquid. Discard the solids.
  4. Chill the agua fresca in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Serve over ice, garnished with a sprig of mint if desired.

Notes

  • For a less sweet drink, omit the sugar.
  • If you don’t have a blender, you can muddle the watermelon and mint, then strain.
  • This drink is best served fresh.
