Description

Prepare a flavorful and quick weeknight dinner using this sheet pan recipe featuring salmon glazed with honey and harissa paste, roasted alongside broccoli.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lb salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons harissa paste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, harissa paste, minced garlic, and lemon juice to create the glaze.
  3. Place the broccoli florets on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and toss to coat.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on the other side of the baking sheet. Brush half of the honey harissa glaze evenly over the tops of the salmon fillets.
  5. Place the sheet pan in the preheated oven. Roast for 10 minutes.
  6. After 10 minutes, remove the pan from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the salmon. Gently toss the broccoli.
  7. Return the pan to the oven and roast for another 5 to 8 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the broccoli is tender-crisp.
  8. Remove from the oven. Garnish the salmon with fresh lemon slices before serving.

Notes

  • For crispier broccoli, you can toss it with the glaze for the last 5 minutes of cooking, but watch carefully to prevent burning.
  • If your salmon fillets are very thick (over 1.5 inches), you may need to add 2-3 extra minutes to the total cooking time.
  • Use mild or hot harissa paste depending on your spice preference.
