Description
Create adorable Reindeer Pancakes complete with sweet berry noses for a cheerful, cute holiday breakfast. These pancakes bring fun and flavor to your morning routine.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- For Decoration: Fresh berries (like raspberries or blueberries) for noses, chocolate chips or icing for eyes, pretzel sticks for antlers
Instructions
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, egg, and melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are fine.
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set.
- Flip the pancakes and cook until golden brown on the other side.
- Arrange the pancakes on a plate to resemble a reindeer face.
- Use a berry for the nose, place two small chocolate chips or dots of icing for eyes, and carefully insert two pretzel stick halves into the top sides for antlers. Serve immediately.
Notes
- If your batter is too thick, add milk one tablespoon at a time until it pours easily.
- For extra festive color, you can add a drop of red food coloring to a small portion of the batter for the nose section if you skip the berry.
- Pretzel sticks can break easily; handle them gently when inserting them as antlers.
