Description

Create adorable Reindeer Pancakes for a fun and heartwarming holiday breakfast. These pancakes feature a simple design perfect for bringing joy to your family’s morning routine.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter, plus more for the griddle
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate chips (for eyes and antlers)
  • Small red candies or berries (like cranberries or red M&Ms for noses)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are fine.
  4. Heat a lightly buttered griddle or large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake.
  6. Immediately place two chocolate chips on top of the wet batter for the eyes and two curved lines of melted chocolate or small pieces for the antlers.
  7. Place one red candy or berry in the center for the nose.
  8. Cook for 2-3 minutes until bubbles appear on the surface and the edges look set.
  9. Flip carefully and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy your cute reindeer creations.

Notes

  • For extra brown noses, use fresh cranberries.
  • You can use buttermilk instead of regular milk for fluffier pancakes.
  • Melt white chocolate chips and use a toothpick to draw the eyes if you prefer a different look.
  • Keep the finished pancakes warm in a low oven (around 200°F) while you cook the rest.
