Description

Make this simple, layered pudding pie without turning on your oven. It features a chocolate pudding layer and a fresh strawberry pudding layer in a pre-made crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made 9-inch graham cracker or chocolate cookie crust
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk (for chocolate pudding)
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla or white chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup cold milk (for strawberry pudding)
  • 1/2 cup cold heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup whipped topping (thawed)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate layer: In a medium bowl, whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix with 2 cups of cold milk for two minutes until thickened. Pour this mixture into the prepared pie crust. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
  2. Prepare the strawberry layer base: In a separate bowl, whisk the instant vanilla or white chocolate pudding mix with 1 cup of cold milk for two minutes until thickened. Gently fold in the sliced fresh strawberries.
  3. Layer the strawberry mixture over the set chocolate layer. Return the pie to the refrigerator for another 30 minutes to firm up.
  4. Prepare the topping: In a chilled bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  5. Spread the whipped topping evenly over the set strawberry layer.
  6. Chill the finished pie for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • You can use an Oreo cookie crust for an extra chocolate flavor.
  • For a brighter strawberry flavor in the second layer, use strawberry instant pudding mix instead of vanilla.
  • Slice the strawberries thinly for easier layering.
