Description

Create a stunning New Year’s Champagne Punch, perfect for a party crowd. This recipe includes one secret step to make your punch truly memorable and full of flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750ml) Champagne or sparkling wine, chilled
  • 1 cup white grape juice, chilled
  • 1/2 cup orange juice, chilled
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (or to taste)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda (optional, for extra fizz)
  • 1 small block of ice or ice ring (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large punch bowl, gently combine the chilled Champagne, white grape juice, orange juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Stir very carefully to avoid losing the bubbles.
  2. Add the raspberries, sliced strawberries, orange slices, and lime slices to the punch bowl.
  3. If using, place the ice block or ring into the punch bowl. The secret step is to freeze some of the fruit mixture with the ice to prevent dilution while keeping it cold.
  4. If the punch needs more lift, gently pour in the sparkling water or club soda just before serving.
  5. Ladle the punch into glasses, making sure each serving gets some of the fruit garnish.

Notes

  • For a festive look, use a sparkling cider instead of Champagne for a non-alcoholic option.
  • Taste the punch before adding all the simple syrup; fruit juices vary in sweetness.
  • Prepare all juices and syrups ahead of time so they are very cold when you mix the punch.
