Description

A versatile marinade recipe that works well for grilling or baking pork chops, offering bright citrus-garlic flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Place your pork chops in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.
  3. Pour the marinade over the pork chops, ensuring they are fully coated.
  4. Seal the bag or cover the dish.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to 8 hours for best flavor. Do not marinate longer than 8 hours due to the acid content.
  6. Remove pork chops from the marinade and pat them dry before cooking on the grill or in the oven.

Notes

  • For a lower sodium option, reduce the added salt to 1/2 teaspoon.
  • You can substitute lime juice for lemon juice for a slightly different citrus profile.
  • Discard any leftover marinade after use.
