- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Pinch of salt and black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, bourbon, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and minced garlic. This is your glaze.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Brush both sides lightly with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Place the salmon on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down if your fillets have skin.
- Brush half of the maple bourbon glaze evenly over the tops of the salmon fillets.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove the salmon from the oven and brush the remaining glaze over the fillets.
- Return to the oven and bake for another 5 to 8 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the glaze is bubbly and slightly caramelized.
- Let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving.
