Description
These kid-friendly yogurt banana popsicles are a simple and delicious treat perfect for little ones, especially picky eaters. Made with just a few ingredients, they are quick to prepare and a great way to sneak in some nutrition.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (or your child’s favorite yogurt)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Popsicle molds
- Popsicle sticks
Instructions
- Peel the ripe bananas and break them into smaller pieces.
- In a blender or food processor, combine the banana pieces, plain Greek yogurt, optional honey or maple syrup, and optional vanilla extract.
- Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Make sure there are no lumps.
- Carefully pour the yogurt mixture into your popsicle molds, filling them almost to the top.
- Insert popsicle sticks into the center of each mold.
- Place the filled popsicle molds in the freezer for at least 4 hours, or until completely frozen solid.
- Once frozen, remove the popsicles from their molds and serve immediately. If they are difficult to remove, run the molds under warm water for a few seconds.
Notes
- For an extra boost of nutrition, you can add a handful of spinach (it won’t change the flavor much!) or some chia seeds to the blender.
- Leo loves these with a tiny sprinkle of cinnamon before freezing, while Mia prefers them plain.
- These are a fantastic way to use up bananas that are getting a little too ripe.
- You can experiment with different yogurt flavors or add other fruits like berries for variety.
