Description

Make dinner fun with these easy Kid-Friendly Pepperoni Pizza Pinwheels. Perfect for busy parents, these simple bites are a favorite for little eaters like Leo and Mia.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet refrigerated crescent roll dough or pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely diced pepperoni
  • Optional: pinch of dried oregano or garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough or pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface. If using crescent dough, press seams together to form a rectangle.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and diced pepperoni over the sauce. Add optional seasonings if desired.
  5. Starting from one long side, tightly roll the dough into a log.
  6. Gently slice the log into 1-inch thick rounds.
  7. Place the pinwheels cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Dice the pepperoni very small for tiny mouths.
  • Offer different toppings like finely chopped bell peppers or mushrooms for adventurous eaters.
  • These make great leftovers for lunchboxes.
  • Serve with extra sauce for dipping.
