Description
This Kid-Friendly Orange Carrot Power Juice is a sweet and nutritious drink perfect for toddlers and elementary school-aged children. It’s an easy way to sneak in vegetables and fruit, making mealtime less stressful and more enjoyable.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 medium carrots, peeled and roughly chopped
- 2 oranges, peeled and quartered
- 1/2 inch fresh ginger, peeled (optional, for a little zing)
- 1/2 cup cold water
- Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions
- Combine the chopped carrots, quartered oranges, and ginger (if using) in a blender.
- Add 1/2 cup cold water to the blender.
- Blend on high speed until completely smooth. This may take 1-2 minutes, depending on your blender.
- If the juice is too thick, add a little more water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
- Pour the juice through a fine-mesh sieve or nut milk bag into a pitcher or glasses to remove any pulp. This step is optional but makes for a smoother, more kid-friendly juice.
- Serve immediately over ice, if desired.
Notes
- For picky eaters, start with less carrot and more orange, gradually increasing the carrot amount as they get used to the taste.
- You can prepare this juice ahead of time and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
- Feel free to experiment with other fruits like apples or pineapple for different flavor variations.
- Adding a tiny pinch of turmeric can boost the nutritional value without altering the taste significantly.
