Description

These Kid-Friendly No-Bake Strawberry Oat Bars are a perfect snack for busy parents. They are quick to make, nutritious, and appealing to children from toddlers to elementary school age, even picky eaters.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups rolled oats
  • ½ cup finely chopped dried strawberries
  • ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
  • ¼ cup nut butter (almond or peanut butter work well)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats and dried strawberries.
  3. In a separate microwave-safe bowl, gently warm the honey (or maple syrup) and nut butter for 30 seconds until slightly runny.
  4. Pour the warm honey and nut butter mixture over the oat mixture. Add the vanilla extract and salt.
  5. Mix everything together until well combined and sticky.
  6. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the prepared pan using the back of a spoon or your hands.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
  8. Once firm, lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper and cut them into squares or rectangles.
  9. Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Notes

  • For an extra boost of flavor, you can add a tablespoon of chia seeds or flax seeds to the mixture.
  • If your nut butter is very thick, you might need to warm it for a bit longer to make it easier to mix.
  • These bars are also great for on-the-go snacks or lunchbox additions.
