These Kid-Friendly No-Bake Strawberry Oat Bars are a perfect snack for busy parents. They are quick to make, nutritious, and appealing to children from toddlers to elementary school age, even picky eaters.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups rolled oats
- ½ cup finely chopped dried strawberries
- ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
- ¼ cup nut butter (almond or peanut butter work well)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
- In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats and dried strawberries.
- In a separate microwave-safe bowl, gently warm the honey (or maple syrup) and nut butter for 30 seconds until slightly runny.
- Pour the warm honey and nut butter mixture over the oat mixture. Add the vanilla extract and salt.
- Mix everything together until well combined and sticky.
- Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the prepared pan using the back of a spoon or your hands.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
- Once firm, lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper and cut them into squares or rectangles.
- Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Notes
- For an extra boost of flavor, you can add a tablespoon of chia seeds or flax seeds to the mixture.
- If your nut butter is very thick, you might need to warm it for a bit longer to make it easier to mix.
- These bars are also great for on-the-go snacks or lunchbox additions.
