Description

These Kid-Friendly Greek Yogurt Chicken Tenders are a simple and delicious meal perfect for busy parents. They’re quick to make, packed with flavor, and a hit with even the pickiest eaters.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch thick tenders
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 ½ cups panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the chicken tenders to the yogurt mixture, tossing to coat evenly. Make sure each piece is well covered.
  4. In a shallow dish, combine the panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese (if using).
  5. One by one, remove each chicken tender from the yogurt mixture, letting any excess drip off. Dredge the tender in the panko mixture, pressing gently to ensure the breadcrumbs stick.
  6. Place the coated tenders in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown and crispy. Flip halfway through cooking for even browning.
  8. Serve warm with your kids’ favorite dipping sauces, like ketchup, honey mustard, or extra Greek yogurt.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can marinate the chicken in the yogurt mixture for at least 30 minutes, or even overnight in the refrigerator.
  • If your kids prefer a less prominent Greek yogurt flavor, reduce the amount slightly or add a touch more lemon juice to brighten it.
  • These tenders are great for meal prep. Cook them ahead of time and reheat gently in the oven or air fryer for quick meals.
  • You can easily double this recipe to feed a larger family or to have leftovers for lunch the next day.
