Instructions
- Combine oats, milk, grated or diced apple, cinnamon, and salt in a small saucepan.
- Stir well to combine all ingredients.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it comes to a gentle simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and continue to cook, stirring frequently, for about 5-7 minutes, or until the porridge has thickened to your desired consistency.
- Remove from heat. Stir in maple syrup or honey if using.
- Let the porridge cool slightly before serving to your child.
Notes
- You can adjust the amount of milk for a thicker or thinner porridge.
