- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
- 1/4 cup pitted and chopped cherries
Instructions
- In a jar or container, combine the chia seeds, milk, and vanilla extract.
- If using, stir in the maple syrup or honey.
- Stir well to ensure no clumps of chia seeds remain.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, until thickened.
- Before serving, stir the pudding and top with chopped cherries.
Notes
- You can use any type of milk you prefer.
- Adjust the sweetener to your child’s taste or omit it entirely.
- Other fruits like berries or bananas can be used instead of cherries.
- The pudding will last in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
