Description

Easy no-cook Caprese skewers perfect for a kid-friendly lunch addition or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) ball fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the cherry tomatoes.
  2. Cut the fresh mozzarella into bite-sized pieces, roughly the same size as the cherry tomatoes.
  3. Thread a cherry tomato, a piece of mozzarella, and a basil leaf onto a short skewer or toothpick. Repeat until you run out of ingredients.
  4. Arrange the skewers on a platter.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • Use small skewers or even toothpicks for little hands.
  • If your kids are hesitant about basil, you can omit it or serve it on the side.
  • Balsamic glaze adds a touch of sweetness and tang, but is completely optional.
