These kid-friendly banana peanut butter chocolate chip cookies are quick, easy, and a guaranteed hit with even the pickiest eaters. They’re a perfect way to use up ripe bananas and make a delicious, fun treat for the whole family.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large ripe banana, mashed
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips (mini chips work great for little hands)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the mashed banana and peanut butter. Mix well until smooth.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet. These cookies don’t spread much, so you can place them relatively close together.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a slightly different texture, you can add a pinch of cinnamon.
- If your peanut butter is very thick, you might need to warm it slightly to make it easier to mix.
- These cookies are naturally gluten-free and dairy-free if using dairy-free chocolate chips.
