Description

Easy and fun apple fruit skewers with a creamy yogurt dip, perfect for a kid-friendly snack or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples (any kid-friendly variety like Gala or Fuji)
  • 1 cup assorted kid-friendly fruits (like grapes, strawberries, blueberries, melon chunks)
  • 1215 small wooden skewers
  • 1 cup plain or vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry all the fruit.
  2. Core the apples and cut them into bite-sized chunks.
  3. Carefully thread the apple chunks and other fruits onto the wooden skewers, alternating colors and textures.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the yogurt, honey or maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract (if using) until smooth.
  5. Arrange the fruit skewers on a platter.
  6. Serve the yogurt dip alongside the skewers for dipping.

Notes

  • For younger children, snap the skewers in half or use blunt-tipped plastic skewers for safety.
  • Customize the fruit based on what your kids like and what’s in season.
  • Add a sprinkle of cinnamon or a squeeze of lemon juice to the apples to prevent browning.
  • This is a great recipe to get kids involved in making!
