Description

Bake up this Hot Honey Feta Chicken for a weeknight meal that balances sweet heat with creamy, salty feta. This recipe is quick to prepare and delivers big flavor, making it perfect for a fun, flavorful dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Hot sauce (like Sriracha or your favorite chili sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion powder
  • Salt and Black pepper to taste
  • 4 ounces Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the chicken pieces dry with a paper towel. Season both sides generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Place the seasoned chicken in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes to create the hot honey glaze.
  5. Brush about half of the hot honey glaze evenly over the chicken pieces.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove the dish from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the chicken. Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese evenly over the top of the chicken.
  8. Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F or 74 degrees C) and the feta is slightly softened and lightly golden.
  9. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.

Notes

  • You can substitute the hot sauce with your favorite chili paste for a different heat profile.
  • For extra crispy edges, you can quickly broil the chicken for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  • This dish pairs well with a simple side salad or roasted vegetables.
