Description
Make this creamy, tangy horseradish sauce in under five minutes. It delivers that bold, classic steakhouse flavor perfect for your prime rib or roast beef.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup prepared horseradish, drained
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Chill a medium bowl and whisk attachment for your mixer.
- In the chilled bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, drained horseradish, white vinegar, and Dijon mustard.
- Whip the mixture using an electric mixer on medium-high speed until soft peaks form. This should take about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Gently fold in the salt and pepper.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve immediately or chill until ready to use.
Notes
- Drain the prepared horseradish well; excess liquid makes the sauce thin.
- For a thinner sauce, use less cream or add a splash of milk.
- You can make this sauce up to one day ahead. Store it covered in the refrigerator.
- This sauce is great on roast beef, steak, or as a sandwich spread.
