Ingredients

- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries or raisins
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts or seeds (optional, for older kids)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine mashed bananas, rolled oats, chia seeds, applesauce, dried cranberries or raisins, nuts or seeds (if using), vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Mix until well combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping them into cookies.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- You can substitute other dried fruits like chopped apricots or dates.
- Feel free to add other mix-ins like chocolate chips (in moderation) or shredded coconut.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
