- 10 flour tortillas, cut into quarters

- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 small onion, chopped

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, green chiles, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chicken broth, chopped onion, cumin, and garlic powder. Mix well.
- Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- Fold in half of the Monterey Jack cheese into the chicken mixture.
- Spread a thin layer of the chicken mixture on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Arrange half of the tortilla pieces over the sauce layer.
- Top the tortillas with half of the remaining chicken mixture.
- Repeat the layers: remaining tortillas, then the remaining chicken mixture.
- Sprinkle the top evenly with the remaining Monterey Jack cheese.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the casserole is heated through.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
