Description
Bake boneless chicken in a creamy garlic parmesan sauce for a flavorful, simple family dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken breasts, making sure they are well coated.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit and the sauce is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, sprinkle 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs mixed with 1 tablespoon of melted butter over the top during the last 5 minutes of baking.
- You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts; adjust the baking time as needed.
- This recipe works well with low-carb diets if you skip the optional breadcrumb topping.
