Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons milk (any kind)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (or regular chocolate chips, chopped)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and milk.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- The dough is ready to eat as is, or you can roll it into small balls if desired.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Notes
- Make sure your butter is truly softened but not melted. This helps with the texture.
- You can use any type of milk you have on hand.
- Mini chocolate chips are great for little mouths, but regular ones work too.
- Feel free to add other mix-ins like sprinkles or chopped nuts (if no allergies).
- This dough is safe to eat raw because there are no eggs and the flour is not consumed raw in large quantities.
