Description

Make these Ultimate Easy Pepperoni & Mozzarella Pizza Pinwheels with Sara and Liam’s flair. You get a cheesy, savory snack ready fast, perfect for parties or anytime you need a fun, flavorful bite. We use simple refrigerated dough to keep things quick and bring the joy back to your kitchen.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup mini pepperoni slices (or chopped regular pepperoni)
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface. Do not separate the triangles; keep the dough in one large rectangle. Pinch any seams together to form a solid sheet.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the entire surface of the dough, leaving a small half-inch border along one long edge.
  4. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Distribute the pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese layer.
  5. Starting from the long edge opposite the un-sauced border, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the final seam closed to seal the roll.
  6. Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 12 equal rounds (about 1 inch thick).
  7. Place the slices cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch between each pinwheel.
  8. Sprinkle the tops with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, if using.
  9. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your creation!

Notes

  • If you prefer a crispier base, you can bake these directly on a pizza stone or ungreased baking sheet.
  • Feel free to swap the pepperoni for cooked, crumbled sausage or chopped ham for a different flavor profile.
  • For an extra touch of flavor, brush the tops lightly with melted garlic butter before baking.
