Description
Prepare tender steak bites coated in a rich, creamy garlic sauce using only one skillet for quick cooking and easy cleanup.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Season the steak cubes with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes and sear them until browned on all sides, about 4 to 6 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic to the same skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Do not let the garlic burn.
- Pour in the beef broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let the broth simmer for 1 minute.
- Stir in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
- Return the steak bites to the skillet. Add the butter and toss everything together until the steak is coated and heated through, about 1 minute.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For best results, do not overcrowd the pan when searing the steak; work in batches if necessary.
- You can substitute Worcestershire sauce for a portion of the beef broth for deeper flavor.
- Fresh parsley makes a good garnish if you have it available.
