Description

Make this easy bruschetta dip that layers a rich, creamy cheese base with a fresh, vibrant tomato topping. It is the perfect appetizer for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces Boursin cheese (or soft goat cheese)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups diced fresh Roma tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (for drizzling)
  • Crostini, baguette slices, or crackers, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8-inch pie dish or small oven-safe skillet.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, Boursin cheese, Parmesan cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until the cheese base is smooth and fully combined.
  3. Spread the cheese mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Bake the cheese layer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the center is warm.
  5. While the cheese bakes, prepare the topping. In a separate bowl, gently mix the diced tomatoes, fresh basil, minced garlic, and olive oil. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  6. Once the cheese base is out of the oven, let it cool for about 5 minutes.
  7. Spoon the fresh tomato mixture evenly over the warm cheese layer.
  8. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top of the dip just before serving.
  9. Serve your crowd-pleasing dip immediately with toasted crostini or your favorite crackers.

Notes

  • For a baked bruschetta dip variation, you can bake the entire dip (cheese and topping) for 10 minutes after assembling, but the topping will be warm, not fresh.
  • You can prepare the tomato topping mixture up to 4 hours ahead of time and keep it refrigerated. Drain off any excess liquid before spooning it onto the warm cheese layer.
  • This recipe works well as a make-ahead appetizer; assemble the cheese layer and bake just before guests arrive.
