Description
Make a Cranberry Ginger Fizz, a bright and festive mocktail perfect for any celebration. This drink combines tart cranberry with spicy ginger for a refreshing, spirited flavor experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cranberry juice (unsweetened preferred)
- 4 cups sparkling water or club soda
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- Cranberries for garnish
- Lime slices for garnish
Instructions
- Combine the cranberry juice, lime juice, grated ginger, and maple syrup in a small bowl. Stir well.
- Taste the mixture. Add more maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter drink.
- Strain the juice mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove the ginger pulp. Press on the solids to extract all the liquid.
- Chill the cranberry-ginger base in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice.
- Pour the chilled cranberry-ginger base into each glass, filling about one-third full.
- Top each glass with sparkling water or club soda. Stir gently.
- Garnish each Cranberry Ginger Fizz with fresh cranberries and a lime slice. Serve right away.
Notes
- For an extra layer of ginger flavor, you can use ginger ale instead of plain sparkling water, but reduce the added maple syrup.
- You can prepare the cranberry-ginger base up to 24 hours ahead of time.
- Use fresh lime juice; bottled juice changes the bright flavor.
