Description
A simple recipe to recreate the taste and texture of the Dunkin’ Wake-Up Wrap at home quickly.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 small flour tortilla (about 6 inches, soft style)
- 1 large egg
- 1 slice American cheese
- 2 pre-cooked sausage patties or 2 slices of bacon
- 1 teaspoon butter or oil for cooking
Instructions
- Cook your sausage patties or bacon until done. Set aside.
- Heat a small non-stick skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil.
- Crack the egg into the skillet. Cook the egg flat, like a thin omelet, until the whites are set.
- Place the cheese slice on top of the cooking egg.
- Warm the tortilla in a separate dry skillet or microwave for about 10 seconds until pliable.
- Place the cooked egg and cheese onto the center of the warm tortilla.
- Top the egg with the cooked sausage or bacon.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then fold the bottom edge up and over the filling. Roll tightly to create a wrap shape.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For the softest tortilla, steam it briefly over boiling water or microwave it wrapped in a damp paper towel for 15 seconds before assembling.
- Use pre-cooked, thin sausage patties to match the original texture and speed up preparation.
- If you prefer bacon, ensure it is cooked flat and crisp enough to hold its shape.
