Description
Make a homemade version of the famous tangy, slightly sweet special sauce used on classic fast-food burgers.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Sweet Pickle Relish
- 1 tablespoon Yellow Mustard
- 1 teaspoon White Vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
Instructions
- Combine the mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, sugar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder in a medium bowl.
- Whisk all ingredients together until the sauce is completely smooth and uniform in color.
- Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if needed; add more sugar for sweetness or vinegar for tang.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate the sauce for at least 1 hour before serving. This allows the flavors to blend properly.
- Serve generously on your homemade burgers or use as a dipping sauce for french fries.
Notes
- For a slightly thinner consistency, add 1 teaspoon of water or pickle juice at a time until you reach your desired spreadability.
- If you do not have sweet pickle relish, use finely chopped dill pickles mixed with 1 teaspoon of sugar.
- This sauce is best when made ahead of time to let the flavors fully develop.
