Description

This cheesy stuffed meatloaf recipe is designed for a juicy center and a gooey cheese surprise. It’s a fun twist on a classic, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Press half of the meat mixture into a loaf shape on a baking sheet or in a loaf pan.
  4. Create a well in the center of the meatloaf and fill it with the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  5. Top with the remaining meat mixture, sealing the edges to fully enclose the cheese.
  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
