Description

A rich and creamy baked casserole featuring shredded chicken, cream cheese, bacon, and ranch seasoning. This dish is simple to make and highly satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) dry ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup heavy cream or chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, dry ranch seasoning mix, and heavy cream or broth. Mix until smooth.
  3. Fold in the shredded chicken and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well to coat all the chicken evenly.
  4. Spread the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining half of the cheddar cheese and the crumbled bacon over the top of the mixture.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are lightly browned.
  7. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can use pre-cooked rotisserie chicken for faster preparation.
  • For a low-carb option, serve this dish over steamed broccoli or cauliflower rice.
  • To make this in a slow cooker, combine all ingredients except the topping cheese and bake for 2-3 hours on high or 4 hours on low. Top with cheese and bake until melted.
