- 1 cup finely chopped broccoli florets
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, shredded cheese, flour, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, and garlic powder.
- Mix until everything is well combined. Season with salt and pepper.
- Scoop spoonfuls of the mixture and form them into small bite-sized rounds.
- Place the bites on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute cheddar cheese with other kid-friendly cheeses like mozzarella.
- Add other finely chopped vegetables like carrots or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
- These bites can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
