Description

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with these fun and festive Champagne Jello Shots topped with colorful sprinkles. They are the perfect playful treat for your party.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Champagne (chilled)
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 packet (1/4 ounce) unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup vodka or white rum (optional, for extra kick)
  • Food coloring (optional, to match your theme)
  • Sprinkles for topping

Instructions

  1. Pour the cold water into a medium bowl. Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat about 1/4 cup of the Champagne over medium heat until warm. Do not boil.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Whisk in the sugar until it completely dissolves into the warm Champagne.
  4. Add the gelatin mixture to the warm Champagne and sugar mixture. Whisk gently until the gelatin is fully dissolved and there are no granules left.
  5. Stir in the remaining cold Champagne and the optional alcohol until combined. Add a few drops of food coloring now if you are using it.
  6. Carefully pour the mixture into small plastic shot cups or silicone molds.
  7. Place the shots in the refrigerator and chill for at least 3 to 4 hours, or until completely set.
  8. Just before serving, top each Champagne Jello Shot with a generous amount of sprinkles.

Notes

  • For non-alcoholic shots, skip the optional vodka/rum and use sparkling white grape juice instead of Champagne.
  • If you prefer a stronger alcohol flavor, add the vodka/rum after the gelatin is dissolved and the mixture is slightly cooled.
  • Clean up any spills immediately, as Jello can stain surfaces.
  • Make these the day before your party to save time.
