Description

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Do not let the garlic brown.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally. Reduce the heat to low.
  4. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese, a little at a time, until the cheese melts completely and the sauce thickens smoothly.
  5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper. Stir well.
