Description

Bake salmon fillets with a simple lemon garlic butter sauce for a juicy, flaky, and quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 thin lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and dried parsley. Mix well.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Season each fillet lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
  5. Place one thin lemon slice on top of each fillet, if desired.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  7. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can wrap the salmon fillets loosely in foil packets before baking.
  • If you prefer a crispier top, briefly broil the salmon for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor in the sauce.
