Description
Bake salmon fillets with a simple lemon garlic butter sauce for a juicy, flaky, and quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 thin lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and dried parsley. Mix well.
- Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Season each fillet lightly with salt and pepper.
- Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
- Place one thin lemon slice on top of each fillet, if desired.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can wrap the salmon fillets loosely in foil packets before baking.
- If you prefer a crispier top, briefly broil the salmon for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor in the sauce.
