Description
Cook salmon fillets in the air fryer for a crispy exterior and a juicy, flaky interior using a simple lemon garlic butter seasoning. This recipe is fast and healthy.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry thoroughly with paper towels. This helps achieve crispiness.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Brush the top and sides of each salmon fillet generously with the lemon garlic butter mixture.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
- Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispy skin, place the salmon skin-side down and cook for the entire time.
- If your fillets are very thick (over 1.5 inches), you may need to reduce the temperature slightly to 380°F (195°C) and cook for 13-15 minutes to prevent the outside from burning before the center cooks.
- You can substitute dried minced garlic for fresh if needed, using 1/4 teaspoon.
