Description

Make sweet and tender carrots quickly using your air fryer with a simple maple glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the cut carrots in a medium bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, olive oil, salt, pepper, and cinnamon, if using.
  3. Pour the glaze mixture over the carrots and toss until they are evenly coated.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C).
  5. Place the coated carrots in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
  6. Air fry for 10 to 14 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until the carrots are tender and slightly caramelized.
  7. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For added crunch, toss 1/4 cup of chopped pecans with the carrots before air frying.
  • If your carrots are very thick, you may need to increase the cooking time by 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Use pure maple syrup for the best flavor in the glaze.
