Description
Make sweet and tender carrots quickly using your air fryer with a simple maple glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound carrots, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Place the cut carrots in a medium bowl.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, olive oil, salt, pepper, and cinnamon, if using.
- Pour the glaze mixture over the carrots and toss until they are evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C).
- Place the coated carrots in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry for 10 to 14 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until the carrots are tender and slightly caramelized.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
- For added crunch, toss 1/4 cup of chopped pecans with the carrots before air frying.
- If your carrots are very thick, you may need to increase the cooking time by 2 to 3 minutes.
- Use pure maple syrup for the best flavor in the glaze.
