Description

Cook perfect, tender lobster tails quickly in your air fryer using a simple garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (5-6 ounce) lobster tails, fresh or frozen and thawed
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. If using frozen lobster tails, thaw them completely under cold running water. Pat the tails dry with paper towels.
  2. Use kitchen shears to cut a slit down the center of the top shell of each tail, stopping before the tail fan. Gently push the meat up through the opening to expose it on top of the shell.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush half of the garlic butter mixture evenly over the exposed lobster meat.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3 minutes.
  6. Place the lobster tails in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  7. Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, depending on the size of the tails. The meat should turn opaque white and reach an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C).
  8. Remove the tails from the air fryer. Brush the remaining garlic butter over the cooked meat.
  9. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can baste the tails with the remaining butter halfway through cooking.
  • Serve with melted butter on the side for dipping.
  • These pair well with rice pilaf or roasted asparagus.
