Description

Make crispy ground turkey taco filling quickly in your air fryer for fast, healthy taco bowls.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean or higher)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup cooked rice (for serving)
  • 1/2 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons salsa

Instructions

  1. Place the ground turkey in the air fryer basket.
  2. Drizzle the olive oil over the turkey.
  3. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8 minutes, breaking up the meat halfway through.
  4. Drain any excess liquid from the air fryer basket.
  5. Stir in the taco seasoning and water.
  6. Return the seasoned turkey to the air fryer and cook at 375°F (190°C) for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, until the liquid is mostly absorbed and the meat is slightly browned and crispy.
  7. Assemble your bowls: Layer the cooked rice, black beans, crispy turkey mixture, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and salsa in each bowl.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, spread the seasoned turkey in a single layer in the air fryer basket for the final 5 minutes of cooking, avoiding overcrowding.
  • You can prepare the rice and chop the vegetables ahead of time for faster assembly.
