Description
Make crispy, flavorful mushrooms in your air fryer using garlic and Parmesan cheese for a quick side dish or appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb cremini mushrooms, cleaned and halved or quartered
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Wipe the mushrooms clean and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
- In a medium bowl, toss the mushrooms with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place the seasoned mushrooms in the air fryer basket in a single layer; work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry for 8 minutes.
- Open the basket, shake well, and continue cooking for another 4 to 6 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and edges are browned.
- Transfer the hot mushrooms to a clean bowl. Immediately sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and toss quickly to coat.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For best crisping results, do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cook in smaller batches if needed.
- Cremini mushrooms work well, but white button mushrooms are also suitable.
- If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, use 1 teaspoon of garlic powder instead of fresh minced garlic.
