Description
Make crispy, flavorful shrimp quickly using your air fryer with a rich garlic butter coating.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Pat the shrimp very dry using paper towels. This is key for crispiness.
- In a medium bowl, toss the dried shrimp with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika until coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- Place the seasoned shrimp in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the shrimp are pink and slightly curled.
- While the shrimp cooks, prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and lemon juice.
- Once the shrimp is cooked, immediately transfer the hot shrimp to a clean bowl.
- Pour the garlic butter mixture over the hot shrimp and toss gently to coat.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For the crispiest results, avoid adding the butter sauce until the shrimp is fully cooked.
- Do not stack the shrimp in the air fryer basket; a single layer allows hot air circulation.
- If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder to the initial seasoning mix.
