- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, 2 tablespoons melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease the air fryer basket or line it with parchment paper.
- Spoon or pipe the batter into the greased donut molds or directly into the air fryer basket, filling each about two-thirds full. If using a basket, you may need to cook in batches.
- Air fry for 6-8 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- While the donuts are cooking, prepare the cinnamon sugar coating. In a shallow dish, combine 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
- Once the donuts are cooked, immediately brush them with the 1/4 cup melted butter.
